The Facilities Management Office has recently begun metering the use of water and electricity in four residence halls on South campus (St. Monica, Katherine, Caughlin, and McGuire Halls) for the purpose of the displaying the usage information to the residents of each building. This information, combined with a competition intended to reward the building with the lowest consumption each month, will help create a trend for a more efficient use of the resources that create the utilities in our buildings.
