Field Research Guidelines

Field Research

Field research safety guidelines are intended to promote safety and minimize risk during research activities in a field setting, where there is an elevated risk of harm compared to routine activities.  Before such activities are initiated in the field, the principal investigator or research supervisor must consider the potential hazards and develop a plan to address them.  The "Field Research Safety Best Practices" presentation provides supporting information for plan preparation.  Any questions please email the  Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) Department or call 610.519.3801.
