The Yellow Ribbon Program

GI Bill® is a registered trademark of the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA).  The Yellow Ribbon Program offers participating students additional funding towards the cost of tution and fees.   For more information about the Yellow Ribbon Program and eligibility requirements please visit: Yellow Ribbon.

Recipients of the yellow ribbon program will be provided up to $4,150 from Villanova University. This amount will be matched by the VA and the combined funding cannot exceed $8,300 for the 2017 - 2018 academic year. (Aug.1 - Jul. 31)  Villanova provides yellow ribbon funding to a maximum of 18 students annually.  Villanova's participation in the Yellow Ribbon program is reviewed annually and subject to VA approval. 

The Yellow Ribbon Program is awarded to qualifying students on a first-come, first-served basis. To be considered, qualifying students must:

  • Be eligible for the maximum benefit rate under the Post 9/11 GI Bill®
  • Not be serving on active duty or a spouse of an active duty member utilizing the transferred entitlement
  • Be accepted into or already enrolled in a degree program at Villanova University
  • Submit a copy of their Certificate of Eligibility (COE) to Villanova University's School Certifying Official (listed below).

Recipients will be selected based upon the date by which all conditions are met.

Students interested in the Yellow Ribbon Program for future terms must submit an application in order to be placed on the waitlist.  Students will be contacted by Villanova's SCO when they have been selected to participate in the program.  If you do not meet the above qualifications or have not submitted your COE your application will not warrant further consideration.

Announcements

The spring 2018 semester has begun!  All students should be fully registered for courses beginning in January 2018.

Drop/Add Deadlines
Students, please consult your respective program’s academic calendar for drop/add deadline. After the drop/add deadline, no changes may be made to your schedule. You must contact your college or program advisor directly if you choose to withdraw from a course.

Fall 2017 Incomplete (N) Grade Deadlines
Students: Those carrying an incomplete (N) grade for fall 2017 coursework must submit work to their instructor no later than Friday, January 26, 2018. 
Instructors: Grade Changes Requests for fall 2017 coursework are due no later than Friday, February 9, 2018.  See Grade Change Workflow located under Policies and Procedures, for instructions to submit change of grade.

Students expecting degrees for December 2017:
December 2017 degrees will be posted to transcripts by January 15, 2018. Diplomas will be mailed directly to the address specified on your Prospective Graduation Form or Application to Graduate.  Degree candidates: please select the ''hold for degree' option when ordering a transcript.
