Eligibility:

Applicant must be a minority student enrolled in their final year (fall/spring) of full-time study in a healthcare management graduate program—MHA, MPH, MBA in Healthcare Administration or similar—with a graduation date between Sept. 1, 2017, and Aug. 31, 2018. 

If applicant has a residency as part of your program and the upcoming fall term will be their second year of study, applicant may apply for a scholarship. If the applicant has already completed the classroom work and are in the residency part of their program, they are not eligible to apply; Doctoral students are also not eligible.

Applicant is not required to be a Student Associate of the American College of Healthcare Executives. However, during the selection process, preference is given to applicants who are Student Associates of ACHE; can demonstrate financial need; must be a U.S. or Canadian citizen; must not be a previous recipient of this scholarship or the Foster G. Applicant must be a US citizen or permanent resident; must be legally blind; must enroll at a college accredited by a body recognized by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation; must be in an Undergraduate Degree Program.  Application requires the following:

Provide proof of legal blindness. Verification should be in the form of a statement from a state rehabilitation agency, an ophthalmologist or an optometrist.

Provide proof of U.S. citizenship. A passport, birth certificate, naturalization papers or proof of legal residency.

Send documentation of academic achievement. Copies of school transcripts and copies of SAT and/or ACT results.

Include three letters of recommendation. Two letters should attest to your academic skills. Each letter must include the name, address and telephone number of the person writing the reference.
