Christina Tobin has just been crowned Miss New Jersey Intercontinental 2016.
A Basking Ridge - bred beauty, she is so honored to be representing the Garden State, New Jersey. This vivacious 20-year-old impressed a panel of judges in swimsuit, evening gown and interview, and placed in the top 6 at the Miss Intercontinental United States Pageant, in Bethesda, Maryland this past weekend.
Christina is a local Jersey girl and Ridge High School alumna, where she was a captain of the Fencing Team and Sports Editor of The Devil's Advocate.
More than just a beauty queen, Christina is a rising senior at Villanova University where she studies engineering. She has a mind for ingenuity, and won 1st place in a Villanova entrepreneurship competition. Christina is an avid basketball fan and will never forget the Villanova University Basketball team winning the 2016 NCAA Championship title this spring.
She is also fluent in Italian and studied abroad in Italy, traveling all over the county. This spring she modeled in a fashion show for her sorority, Alpha Gamma Delta. Christina loves modeling and hosting at events and dreams of one day walking the runways in New York and Paris.
Christina loves charity work and supports several organizations as Miss New Jersey Intercontinental 2016. Her pageant platform is promoting world peace through her work with Engineers without Borders. As a humanitarian, she helped those in need all across the globe. Christina has traveled to India and Ghana through Engineers without Borders. She believes that engineers are able to create beautiful and meaning change in the world, and aims to use her engineering education to make the world a better place to live.
After her reign, the 5'9" blonde plans to further her education in business school; she is excited to see where her Miss New Jersey title takes her and has an interest in broadcasting and hosting.
