CAC Director Awarded for Best Presentation

CAC Director Moeness Amin, PhD, attended the EUSIPCO Conference in Lisbon.

Moeness Amin, PhD, Director of the Center for Advanced Communications (CAC), spent early September traveling to Portugal and Florida to attend and present at two major industry conferences.

At the European Signal Processing Conference (EUSIPCO) in Lisbon, Dr. Amin presented three papers, and in Tampa at the Institute of Navigation (ION) Conference, he delivered two presentations, one of which received a Best Presentation Award. “Nonstationary Interference Excision for GPS Receivers Using Sparse Construction Techniques,” which was co-authored by Research Professor Yimin Zhang, PhD, Director of the CAC’s Wireless Communications and Positioning Lab, was recognized in the Interference and Spectrum Issue track.

This past academic year, Dr. Amin published a record 42 papers. Since joining Villanova University in 1985, he has authored more than 600 papers, which have been cited more than 7,500 times.
