Dr. Ed McAssey Shares Expertise on Nuclear Energy with Local Media

Dr. Ed McAssey

As the people and government of Sendai, Japan struggled to recover from the devastation of the earthquake, tsunami, and ensuing nuclear reactor disaster that rocked the region in mid-March, local media in the greater Philadelphia area sought help in explaining the situation to their audiences. Dr. Ed McAssey, Professor Emeritus in Mechanical Engineering, supplied his expertise on nuclear energy and reactors in four interviews with WTXF-TV (FOX) and WPVI-TV (ABC). He also spoke with the Catholic News Service, whose coverage appeared in a number of similar publications. In addition, he was interviewed by Media Tracks, which creates nationally syndicated radio news stories that air on more than 400 commercial radio stations nationwide.
