Premier Civil Engineering Publication Taps Dr. Aleksandra Radlinska for Editorial Staff

Dr. Aleksandra Radlinska, Associate Professor in the Civil and Environmental Engineering Department.

Dr. Aleksandra Radlinska, Associate Professor in the Civil and Environmental Engineering Department, will lend her expertise in construction materials to her newest role: associate editor for the American Society of Civil Engineers’ Journal of Materials in Civil Engineering.

“It’s an honor to be chosen to participate in the selection process for one of the industry’s best publications and to be among the first to learn about innovative research ideas,” says Dr. Radlinska, who has served as a reviewer for the publication since 2005.

As an associate editor, Dr. Radlinska will help oversee the peer review process, identify appropriate experts to review submissions to the publication, and make recommendations about which papers should be published.

Widely regarded as the authority on technical information for the civil engineering profession, the Journal of Materials in Civil Engineering delivers in-depth analysis and information about the development of new civil engineering materials and how they are produced, processed, applied, and evaluated. Recent topics include high-quality, peer-reviewed research into the mechanics and failure of multilayer reinforced membranes, the corrosion of reinforcing steel, fly ash blended cement concrete, creep of mass concrete at early stages, and predictions of thermal characteristics for mixed porous media.
