MATE Regional Competition
Dr. C. Nataraj, Prof. James O’Brien, and the ME Department will be hosting the MATE Underwater Robotics Competition on Saturday, May 11, 2013 at Villanova University for middle and high school students from the greater Philadelphia area.
In 2012, 25 teams competed, including both middle school and high school teams. The Ranger class (high school) had to complete four different tasks for the competition. Teams also prepared a poster showing the robots' capabilities, as well as a technical report and an oral presentation. Judges consisted of Villanova faculty members, volunteers from industry, as well as volunteers from the Secondary Robotics Initiative.
