Coleen M. Burke (B.S.M.E., 1990; M.B.A., 1999)
Ms. Burke graduated from Villanova University in 1990 with a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering degree. She received her Master in Business Administration from Villanova in 1999. Her experience includes more than ten years with The Boeing Company at the Rotorcraft Division in Ridley Park. A majority of her time at Boeing was spent in Manufacturing Research and Development, implementing new technologies and improved processes required to design and build complex composite structures for the aerospace industry.
Her professional accomplishments include directing the V-22 Osprey Aircraft's Structural Test and Repair Programs. She was recently promoted to Director, Strategic Planning, Air Force Systems, Integrated Defense Systems, a position that draws on both her successful technical and business experiences.
In 1990, Coleen was a member of Villanova's first “Team Solarcat”, a group of students who designed, constructed and raced a solar-powered car across the country. She was in charge of fabrication of the composite body, as well as logistics coordinator for the team.
