Many Civil and Environmental Engineering undergraduates are involved in conducting modern research alongside faculty and students. In recent years, undergraduates have played a key role in research projects in all CEE disciplines. Students can work on research projects through a variety of mechanisms:
- paid research positions on funded research projects
- summer research fellowships funded by sponsored projects and other sources in a semester-long research course for academic credit
- in projects and assignments in other courses throughout the CEE curriculum
