About the Director
Mr. Simmons is a multidisciplinary, entrepreneurial engineer, inventor and businessman. He holds a BS degree in electrical engineering from NJIT, an MS degree in computer science from Villanova University, has accumulated many years of experience in mechanical engineering, and has five U.S. patents to date. Mr. Simmons is a founder of several small businesses in the engineering field, and by operating those businesses has gained considerable experience in project management, business administration, accounting, contracting, and human resources.
Mr. Simmons has worked in many industrial fields, such as container shipping, railcar tracking, computer programming, computer simulations, automation, instrumentation, electronic games, stereovision, sensor systems, image processing, video systems, and sports broadcasting.
