Description
Renewable energy systems are poised to grow rapidly in the US over the next decade due to renewable energy portfolio standards (RPS’s) in different states and growing public awareness of climate change. In the Villanova University region, solar, wind, geothermal, and bio energy industries are growing rapidly. There is a growing job market with students educated in this field. Few programs currently exist to support the education of students in the alternative energy field.
