Dear Members of the Villanova Community:

On Sunday, February 19, our Women’s Basketball team had an overtime win over Butler to finish their regular season home schedule with a victory. The following Saturday, our men’s team defeated Creighton at home to clinch the BIG EAST regular season title. These two victories were a fitting end for the Pavilion as we currently know it.

While the Pavilion is most well-known as the home of our elite Men's and Women's Basketball teams, it also has been host to a multitude of University events since it opened its doors in 1986. From New Student Orientation and the St. Thomas of Villanova Day of Service, to Candidates' Days and Commencement, this building has become a home for Nova Nation.

Last month, I shared that this on-campus home—that has played a significant role in countless Villanovans' experience for the last 31 years—would be undergoing a comprehensive $60 million renovation. Today, I am pleased to formally unveil the designs for the Finneran Pavilion and share additional details about this important upcoming University project.

The events that have taken place in the Pavilion over the years have meant a great deal to this community, and I am sure you share my excitement that this project will soon be underway. When complete, I am confident it will be yet another point of pride for our entire University community.
