Villanova University is pleased to offer two outstanding non-credit educational programs for Human Resources professionals.

For over 20 years, Villanova University has met the needs of HR professionals in various stages of their careers - from those just entering the field to experienced professionals required to make strategic management decisions for their organizations.  Villanova has developed the region's premier center of excellence for Human Resource study and certification. In April 2012 the Society of Human Resource Management recognized Villanova as the leading school in the country offering the 2012 SHRM Learning System® Certification Preparation Course, and our Fall 2011 pass rate exceeded the national average.

Certificate in Professional Human Resource Management

Gain a comprehensive overview of human resources, including all six functional areas of human resource management. Prepare for the PHR and SPHR certification exams. Offered in partnership with the Society for Human Resource Management. More info..

The Essentials of Human Resource Management

An introductory course in human resource management is offered in partnership with the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM). This course should assist line managers and supervisors to develop basic human resource skills needed to manage employees effectively and to introduce human resource administrative staff and new professionals to the fundamentals of the field. Earn HRCI Continuing Education Hours through Villanova University

HR professionals who are PHR/SPHR certified can earn 30 re-certification hours with the HR Certification Institute by enrolling in PayTrain® Fundamentals. Click here for more information and to register.

In addition, HR professionals can earn re-certification hours with the HR Certification Institute by taking weekend seminars. These seminars are held throughout all academic semesters on one Friday evening and one Saturday, per course.
