Villanova University offers an intensive program held over five designated Saturdays which is designed primarily for individuals seeking certification as a Global Professional in Human Resources (GPHR®) featuring the SHRM Global Learning System®, the new standard for Global HR. This course is offered in full partnership with the Society of Human Resources Management (SHRM ) and various local SHRM chapters in the Greater Philadelphia region.
A course investment of $1500 for SHRM National members, and $1600 for non-members includes the SHRM Global Learning System® print modules, online learning software and access to the online Resource Center, mastery tests and 30 hours of instructor-led learning.

HR has changed in the past decade, expanding across borders, cultures and economies. HR professionals earning an HR Certification Institute’s Global Professional in Human Resources (GPHR®) certification will be prepared to assume responsibilities beyond U.S. regulations – and possess the capability to develop global and cross-border HR Policies. Earning your GPHR® certification shows that you have demonstrated mastery of the international HR body of knowledge and have accepted the challenge to stay informed of new developments in the international HR field.
The course helps prepare participants for the HR Certification Institute's national examination for the Global Professional in Human Resources (GPHR®). Upon successful completion of the course, candidates will receive the certificate in Global Professional Human Resource Management from Villanova University, along with 3.0 Continuing Education Units. For those taking the course for recertification purposes, successful completion will result in the awarding of 30 HR recertification credit hours.

Certification Examination Eligibility Requirements
GPHR Eligibility: 2 years of demonstrated global professional HR experience with a Master's degree or higher; 3 years of demonstrated professional HR experience (with 2 of the 3 being global HR experience) with a Bachelor's degree; 4 years of demonstrated professional HR experience (with 2 of the 4 being global HR experience) with less than a Bachelor's degree. Testing is offered at more than 250 Thomson Prometric testing centers in the U.S. and Canada, and 116 internationally.
