The Choice: What Can I Do with a Major In...?

This series of activities, offered each fall, is designed to showcase the core academic disciplines at VSB:  Accounting, Economics, Finance, Management, Management Information Systems, Real Estate, and International Business. Students learn more about how these majors/co-majors are applicable to various career paths through a combination of events, kicked off with the Majors Forum and followed by Industry Dinners and Major Mondays. The intent of the program is to inform students about the possible career paths within each discipline, as well as expose students to faculty and practicing professionals from various fields.

**All events are Business Dynamics approved.

Majors Forum**:  October 24, 2014

Time and Location TBA

  • Thinking about choosing a major/minor? Hear department chairs and peer advisors talk about:
    • majors and minors within that department
    • academic requirements for those majors/minors
    • opportunities and career paths available within that discipline

Major Mondays**:  Every Monday 10/27-11/10

Bartley Hall Lobby:  12:00-1:30pm

  • Interested in a specific major/minor? Join fellow VSB students, faculty, and peer advisors for a casual conversations about majors internships, careers and more!   No formal presentation; stop by as your schedule permits.
  • Specific topic assignments will be announced in Early October.

Industry Dinners**:  Evenings 10/27-31

Time and Location TBA

  • Join fellow VSB students and alums for a conversation around majors and career paths.  Due to limited space, pre-registration will be required.
  • Business Casual attire is expected.
