Bartley Takeover - This is a customizable option which can include but is not limited to: signage of your brand throughout the building, creative use of the Chalkboard Wall, hosting an event with a related student business society(s), a roundtable luncheon, resume review sessions and/or information table(s). Your “Bartley Takeover” can be 3-5 days long either once in the fall semester or once in the spring semester. O’Donnell Center staff will work with you to select a mutually compatible time frame that works for your company to be highlighted; dates determined on a first come, first serve basis.

The Student Business Society Welcome Back (Fall) Program & Reverse Career Fair - kicks off the new academic year by bringing together leaders from each of the student business societies with the administrators and faculty who work together throughout the year. It will also give representatives from your organization a chance to meet and interact with these students and learn about each of the various student-run organizations.

Student Leadership Recognition Event (Spring) - brings together the executive boards of each of the groups to honor their service to VSB and allow for interaction with corporate sponsors. This activity will provide exposure to 50+ “rising stars” within VSB’s undergraduate population.

B2B VSB 2000: Sophomore Professional Development Seminar (Fall/Spring) – VSB sophomores participate in a one-credit seminar focusing on interviewing skills, the internship/job search process, business ethics, networking, business etiquette, etc. Throughout the semester, opportunities to interact with alumni/employers are presented.

B2B VSB 1000: Freshman Networking (Spring) Etiquette Workshops - The freshmen component of Backpack to Briefcase includes a networking etiquette workshop titled “The Art of Mixing & Mingling”. It is led by Ms. Laura Katen of Katen Consulting. Two representatives are invited participate in this educational and interactive workshop. The event also provides your professionals the opportunity to network with VSB freshmen and begin getting top students into your recruiting pipeline as early as their first year. The workshop is offered on 3 separate dates in order to keep the size of the group to a manageable level (roughly 130 students/session). You're invited to participate in all three sessions.

B2B VSB 3000: Bartley Briefcase Challenge (Fall ’17 & Spring ’18) – All VSB Juniors take VSB 3000 in either the fall or spring semester, which consists of participation in prep sessions on the topics of written and verbal communication skills, business research methods, core business competencies, team dynamics and leadership. This unique course culminates in an internal case competition judged by corporate sponsors and other business professionals.

This opportunity gives your organization the chance to be the sole sponsor of one of our premier events throughout the academic year. These are available on a first come, first served basis.   • “Career Paths In…” Series (October 2017) – faculty-led presentations designed to inform students about the academic path and career paths/opportunities available within each of the VSB disciplines; targeted at freshman and sophomores.
  • Villanova Women in Business “POW” Conference (November 2017) - consists of a keynote speaker, an interactive presentation and a networking reception; all Villanova students invited.
  • Multicultural Business Association Career Event (November 2017) - features a keynote address and a networking session. 
  • Villanova Business of Sports Conference (Spring 2018) - a committee comprised of university staff and students organizes a conference focusing on a "hot topic" in the sports industry.
  • market u” events (various fall/spring dates) - a collaborative, comprehensive effort of career development professionals and Marketing department faculty designed to increase the career-readiness of Marketing majors. The initiative includes: a customized weekly newsletter, tailored website and career programs designed for students in the major during sophomore, junior and senior years. The program encourages students to market themselves, hence “market u”, and has yielded positive results in the form of increased employment rates for Marketing graduates.

Opportunities exist to host a VSB Mentor Program Meet Up event at your office location. Meet Up events typically include students (sophomores through seniors) and alumni mentors. The Program Director and Advisory Board will collaborate with employer to coordinate program agenda and food arrangements. Typically held on a week night after work hours; hosting an event includes provision of venue and catering (may range from an informal reception to buffet dinner).
