Villanova, Pa., January 12, 2016 – The Villanova School of Business (VSB) was recognized among the top schools on the U.S. News & World Report’s annual “Best Online Degree Programs: Graduate Business” ranking, earning the #10 spot in the U.S. In addition to #10 overall, VSB was also ranked #10 in the “Student Services and Technology” category which takes into consideration the diversity of the online learning technologies used, as well as the student support structures beyond classes.
Villanova’s consistent success in this ranking validates VSB’s ability to deliver a high-quality online experience for our students, and underscores the strength of our faculty, curriculum, students and support services. The U.S. News & World Report’s annual ranking of online business programs takes into account the reputation of the program among high-ranking academic officials in business through a peer survey administered each fall. The ranking’s methodology also emphasizes student engagement, admission selectivity, faculty credentials and training, and student services and technology capabilities.
Much of the data supplied for this non-MBA graduate program ranking was based on VSB’s Master of Science in Church Management (MSCM) program, an innovative, two-year online graduate business program designed to enable church leaders to apply sound business principles to church management-related issues and decision making. This program is the only one of its kind, taking a fully-tailored, faith-based approach to management education.
“Our faith-based approach to business gives students the managerial tools to achieve the mission of their churches,” said Charles Zech, PhD, director of the Center for Church Management and Business Ethics, as well as the MSCM program faculty director. "The online environment that we’ve created at VSB provides a convenient, interactive and effective business education experience for our students. I am proud to see our faculty, students, curriculum and online delivery recognized for its high standards and quality."
