The Center for Marketing and Consumer Insights leverages the expertise of world class faculty at the Villanova School of Business (VSB) and an advisory board of practitioners from leading corporations to support initiatives that foster an unmatched student experience and also improve the science and practice of marketing as it relates to the consumer experience. The Center supports faculty as they develop innovative and actionable insights about consumers based on cutting-edge and scientifically rigorous research. These findings may then be disseminated through classroom teaching, hands-on student training, and interactive events that provide a forum for thoughtful dialogue among scholars, students, alumni, practitioners, and policymakers. The Center provides opportunities for students to explore and discover new marketing and consumer research knowledge, as well as to prepare them to enter a competitive marketplace with both fundamental and applied proficiency.
Through participating in case competitions and conducting primary research in the Consumer Insights Lab, the Center offers opportunities for VSB students to be active learners. The Center provides VSB students with transformational education experiences by supporting and encouraging experiential learning and providing career development resources necessary to become innovative leaders in marketing.
Through research grants and administrative support, the Center supports VSB faculty research which has important implications for marketing practitioners, policymakers, and society. The Center seeks to become a preeminent source for consumer insights research with the purpose of helping practitioners, policymakers, and consumers make better decisions. The Center supports VSB faculty and students through direct funding for new research projects and a team of dedicated research assistants.
