Another holiday season is behind us - we hope yours was wonderful!
We are thrilled to announce our 2016 theme: “Empowering Ourselves and Others”
All year we will sponsor, support and champion programming inspired by this theme. Please check our calendar of upcoming events for more details.
If you are involved with a regional VUAA Chapter and would like to plan an event related to this theme, let us know and we will feature your event on the VWPN website and on LinkedIn!
In this edition of the newsletter we are thrilled to highlight the successes of Karin Risi ’94 VSB ’99 MBA who was named head of the Retail Investor Group at Vanguard in 2015.
We are also excited to share a new column, “We’re in the World,” which will profile Villanova women working around the world. Each edition will highlight a different continent – our first stop is Africa!
Our feature article this edition is by Quinetta Roberson, Fred J. Springer Endowed Chair in Business Leaders and Professor of Management at VSB. Her article, “The Art and Science of Negotiation: Bending Towards ‘Yes,’” discusses gender differences in negotiation and offers a framework for successful negotiations.
And please continue to send us your feedback and suggestions for events, presenters and programming, as well as topics and Villanova women to highlight in upcoming newsletters at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Here’s to an empowering 2016!
