Review Program Information
We invite you to look around our web-sites to find out as much as possible about us and our programs. It is important to us that you consider Villanova a good fit for your academic journey. Feel free to contact us and request additional information about our program.
Of course, we heartily invite you to contact the Program Director in the Theology Department or the Director of the MS in Counseling Program. And we encourage you to also contact the Campus Ministry Internship Coordinator to inquire about the Certificate and discuss your situation, qualifications, and goals.
You are most welcome to visit us in person if you live nearby or plan on stopping by in Philadelphia. If you cannot visit in person, you can find detailed information on Villanova's campus and community, as well as the surrounding Philadelphia-area by taking a virtual tour.
Apply for Admission
Applicants to our combined MS/CERT plus CMI program must complete two separate applications,
- an application for admission to the
Combined MS in Counseling/Certificate in Pastoral Ministry Program
; and - an application for admission to the Villanova Campus Ministry Graduate Internship Program (CMI).
What Happens Next
Upon receiving all your application material by the various deadlines (Feb 1 for MS in Counseling; Mar 1 for Internship Program) your applications will be reviewed as follows:
First, the program admission committee in the Department of Education and Counseling will review your application and notify you of your acceptance.
Second, once admitted to the MS in Counseling program you become a candidate for the Internship Program, and your application will be reviewed by the CMI Coordinator.
Third, if you are a candidate for the Internship program and accept the offer to join us here at Villanova, your program admission code will be changed internally to Combined MS in Counseling and Certificate in Pastoral Ministry Program.
