Please prepare: a contemporary one-and-a-half to two-minute monologue that provides you with both comic and dramatic values. As we humans know, high-stakes circumstances tend to contain both hilarity and heartbreak – so however you define this blend will be ideal. Please choose a character in your age range. If (and only if) you have excellent command of British dialect (not Cockney or working class), you might perform with a British accent – but you may be asked to do the work with an American accent as well.
