Each student is assigned a faculty advisor immediately upon declaring psychology as a major. Ten of the seventeen full-time faculty of the department comprise the membership of the Undergraduate Advisement Committee (UGAC). This committee is responsible for all matters related to the efficient conduct of our undergraduate program including all the various aspects of program evaluation, curriculum and course design, and most importantly, advisement.
Through frequent individual meetings with students, the faculty members of UGAC closely monitor the progress of each student to help the student ensure that all requirements for the undergraduate degree are satisfied in a timely fashion. Advisors also meet with students to discuss matters related to post-graduate plans for education and employment.
