The political science department is proud of the accomplishments of our alumnae/i. One example is: Philip R. Consuegra, a 2006 graduate of the Political Science Program at Villanova, who recently accepted a position with the Rudy Giuliani Presidential Committee (Rudy '08), located in the hotly contested State of Florida. Phil's main responsibility is coordinating field campaign activity and strategy in the South Florida area, with a focus on Broward County (Ft. Lauderdale).
Prior to the Giuliani Campaign, Phil served as Chief of Staff for Georgia State Representative Edward Lindsey, where he was able to aid in the creation and passing of several bills in the past legislative session.
While at Villanova, Phil was active in the political arena, serving as President of the Villanova University Republicans in 2004 as well as serving on the Student Government Association in 2006, in addition to many other extra-curricular activities which included Blue Key, The Villanovan, and Omicron Delta Kappa (Leadership Honor Society). If you are interested in getting involved in the campaign, please email Phil at philipconsuegra@joinrudy2008.com.
We wish Phil luck in his new position and future endeavors!
