The Master of Public Administration (MPA) program offers you the roles, skills and practices that will help you become successful professionals capable of ethical, intelligent and creative leadership in the public service.
You can choose to pursue an MPA degree, or certificates in City Management or Nonprofit Management. We offer a joint program with the Villanova University School of Law, which enables you to earn both a JD and MPA degree simultaneously. Finally, we have a partnership with the Department of Theatre where students can earn a Master of Arts in Theatre with a Certificate in Nonprofit Management.
Villanova's Master of Public Administration Program is pleased to host an International City/County Management Association (ICMA) Student Chapter and a chapter of the Pi Alpha Alpha Honor Society. These organizations help you build your professional network in public service.
Our courses will fit your needs, as either a part-time or full-time evening student. Small class sizes enable you to work closely with professors and develop strong professional relationships.
The public administration faculty are based in several academic disciplines, offer a variety of philosophical and practical approaches to public administration, and boast a wide range of scholarly interests. We also have practitioner faculty who bring unique real-world experience into the classroom.
Villanova University is uniquely located only a short train ride away from Philadelphia, providing you with many opportunities for learning outside the classroom.
