Villanova University provides the facilities and support necessary for successful graduate study. The department offers three graduate programs.
- The M.A. in Political Science offers a wide range of courses in American Government, International Relations, Comparative Politics and Political Philosophy. Students interested in public or non-profit sector careers can earn relevant Certificates offered jointly with the MPA program. Students planning to go on to get a Ph.D. can take a special thesis track and enroll in advanced methodology courses.
- For students who will not necessarily work toward a full masters degree, the department offers a range of graduate Certificates in Political Science.

Our graduate faculty hold doctorates from the finest institutions in the United States and offer expertise in a wide range of fields. A recently upgraded physical plant has state of the art computer and communications equipment. the Falvey Memorial Library houses over 500,000 volumes and 3,000 periodicals, supplemented by an extensive inter-library loan network.
Villanova is located just minutes from a host of other first-rate academic institutions. Bryn Mawr College and Haverford College are five minutes away. Swarthmore College is a 15 minute drive and the University of Pennsylvania is a 20 minute commuter train trip. This puts Villanova at the heart of a vibrant intellectual community.
