Back on My Feet

Back on My Feet Participants

Back on My Feet (BoMF) is a national nonprofit organization that is dedicated to creating independence and self-sufficiency within the homeless and other underserved populations by first engaging them in running as a means to build confidence, strength and self-esteem. The Villanova Chapter organizes weekly runs/walks at several BoMF sites in Philadelphia, hosts a campus-wide Sneaker Week initiative for BoMF, and participates in community building through a variety of activities with BoMF members who are or were experiencing homelessness.

What have they been up to?

VU BoMF has kept up with their weekly runs with Philadelphia BoMF.

What’s next for BoMF?

April 15 - Nova BoMF will host a picnic for all of the members of Philly BoMF and Nova volunteers on West Campus, in order to forge greater bonds and interactions with their members, outside of the runs.

How do I get involved?

The Villanova BOMF Chapter meets every Friday morning at 4:55 a.m. to run in West Philly, Center City and South Philly with members of shelters who are experiencing homelessness in order to help foster community and provide motivation and support.
