The Center for Peace and Justice Education is currently seeking nominations from the Villanova community for the Adela Dwyer – St. Thomas of Villanova Peace Award, and the Thomas J. Mentzer Awards.
The Adela Dwyer - St. Thomas of Villanova Peace Award, nominated by faculty and staff, recognizes an individual or group for outstanding contributions to the understanding of the meaning and conditions of justice and peace in human communities. The award is accompanied by a cash award and is presented at a formal address by the recipient(s) to the Villanova University community. The Peace Award Committee and the Center for Peace and Justice Education staff will select the award recipient from among the nominations following careful consideration of the list of candidates and supporting materials.
The Thomas J. Mentzer Award, nominated by faculty, staff and students, recognizes a graduating Villanova senior for his/her service toward expanding opportunities for the poor and marginalized.
Deadline for nomination is: Friday, April 24 at noon.
