Villanova University's graduate program in Human Resource Development (HRD) started over 30 years ago to address the growing need for expertise in diverse areas of this dynamic field. Graduates of Villanova's program have pursued careers in HR in many parts of the world.
The HRD graduate programs provide students with a comprehensive background in the basic human resource competencies with emphasis on global, strategic and developmental issues. Pre- and Post-Master's Certificates allow students to focus and continue their study in key areas of Human Resources. The curriculum is aligned with the standards established by SHRM.
To meet your needs, prospective students can now choose between two separate learning paths. You can attend campus-based courses that typically meet one night per week or one-weekend. Another option is to join a group attending classes offered 100% through distance education. Each path has a separate advising process.
Only the on-campus program offers the pre-/post masters certificates or the flexibility to choose the number of courses per semester. Additionally, faculty, staff and students are active in the local HR associations and host a HRD Linked-in group to help you grow your career network.
