Why Study Irish?
Studying the Irish language is a critical component for understanding the history, literature, and culture of Ireland. An ancient and living language of Europe, Irish has experienced a resurgence in the number of speakers in recent decades. This vibrant language will be taught by a native speaker from Ireland, who will be teaching at Villanova every year through the Fulbright FLTA program.
