CLAS Facilities Management

The College of Liberal Arts and Sciences at Villanova University has dedicated personnel to address facilities needs within the college.  The Facilities Manager, Antoinette Donovan, is an experienced professional, specializing in project management and the overall facilities upkeep within the buildings that house CLAS faculty and staff.  Specific duties are as follows:
 

Skills and Duties:

  • Act as the premier liaison for CLAS Faculty and Staff with VU Facilities Management
  • Manage CLAS buildings operations, maintenance, and repairs
  • Provide building inspections and reports issues to Facilities Management
  • Oversee the process of procuring furniture for CLAS faculty and staff 
  • Prepare short and long term space planning
  • Coordinate and schedule work orders with Facilities Management
     

FAQs

1. How do we report a facilities issue: In my Office? Near my Office?

Facilities Issues in or around your office area that are non emergency, can be handled by putting in a Work order (either yourself or your department administrative assistant) through the Facilities Management web page. Link found here.  Under Work Request, select Submit a Request and follow the steps. Please make sure you email Elaine Lamberto the FM number. Elaine and Antoinette do track the work order to make sure they are completed and work is acceptable.

3. What are Non Work Order Requests?

Non Work Order requests are requests such as painting, carpet replacement, new chairs, new furniture, and space review needs.  Anything that Facilities Management does not take care of.  If you are not sure, ask Antoinette and she can direct you. 4. What is the process to request: Furniture, Carpet and Paint:

  • Furniture - submit a non work order request
  • Carpet - submit a non work order request
  • Paint - submit a work order request

6. What is the process to purge?

  • Items in my office - submit a work order request
  • Large bulk items - submit a work order request
  • Student/Faculty records - submit a non work order request

7. Who should be contacted with facilities emergencies?

If you have a facilities emergency between the hours of 8am - 4pm, call Facilities Dispatch at 9-4420. After hours, please call Public Safety at 9-6979.

Antoinette's office is located in Mendel Hall Basement 082.
