M.S. in Counseling


Welcome to Villanova's M.S. in Counseling Program. This portion of our website will provide you with a clear, concise understanding of Graduate Counseling studies at Villanova University. This degree is offered with concentrations in two areas for individuals interested in earning their MS through the department:
Clinical Mental Health Counseling  and
School Counseling

Application Information.

Note: students in the school counseling program are required to take the PAPA Basic Skills Test.


CHR News, Events & Reminders

  • Commencement Ceremony Date: May 17, 2:00 PM On Mendel Field
  • Summer Session I begins May 28, 2014.
  • Summer Comprehensive Examination - Saturday, July 12, from 8:30 AM to 1:00 PM; the location will be chosen after registration is complete, and students choosing to take the exam will be notified. The cost for this exam is $50.00.  Please note that CCE will only accept cashier's checks or money orders for the counselor preparation comprehensive exam.  The check or money order is made out to "CCE."

Tuition Reduction

Teachers and school administrators  may apply for a special Tuition Reduction
40% for those employed by Catholic schools;
20% for those employed by non-Catholic schools.
