Sean Udicious ’17 Puts PR Skills to Work for Mayor’s Office

Sean Udicious

Sean Udicious ’17 (Communication) applied his public relations knowledge to his internship with the Philadelphia Mayor’s Department of Records. He designed communication plans for the City Archives and presented a plan to the department heads of the Mayor’s cabinet about improving the promotion of adult education opportunities in the city.

“My Liberal Arts studies have always encouraged me to think outside the box, to not purposely limit myself to traditional ways of thinking but rather think creatively of innovative solutions that others may not consider,” Sean says.  "Additionally, my education has helped me to effectively communicate both internally with others within an organization as well as externally with a larger audience."

Sean envisions himself working in public relations after he graduates and believes his internship with the Mayor's Office reinforced that "the qualities I have learned in my public relations curriculum can be applied to a variety of fields, so I am open to whatever opportunities arise."
