January 7-11, 2013
Experience the power of Villanova in this unique mentoring opportunity during winter break. 14 Villanova Alumni Chapters will host a reception and job shadow experience for current students:
- CA: Northern California, San Diego, Los Angeles, Orange County
- DC: Greater Washington DC
- IL: Chicago
- MA: Boston
- NJ: Northern New Jersey, Southern New Jersey
- NY: Long Island, Fairfield/Westchester, Manhattan
- PA: Greater Philadelphia, Lehigh Valley
Students are matched with alumni based on interests and experiences. The day could include observation of various departments, meetings with key colleagues, and lunch. This gives the student a good overview of the industry and the various roles within it, and provides for substantive opportunities for the students to speak with professionals as part of their career development.
What students are getting to experience:
Jessica Dunne ’14 signed up for Take a Cat to Work Day through the Long Island, NY Alumni Chapter. During her day, she got to go behind the scenes of the TV industry with her mentor and even got on screen as part of a video series the network does after the real show completes taping. Check out the posting and Jessica representing the Nova Nation here!
