  Reunion 2013 Weekend Schedule of Events

 

The Villanova University Alumni Association invites you to celebrate your past at Villanova! An entire weekend is planned with events and activities to commemorate your time at the university and to celebrate the future of our alma mater. Opportunities abound to catch up with old friends, relive the nostalgia of your college days and create new memories to treasure for years to come. All alumni are welcome to attend! Graduates of class years ending in "3" or "8" will celebrate special reunions.

There is a separate registration for apartments. Apartments must be reserved in advance and typically sell out months in advance of Reunion.

Join the Rev. Peter M. Donohue, OSA '75, Villanova University's 32nd President, for lunch and a discussion of the recent achievements and ongoing initiatives at the University. Members of the Top Cats (graduates of the Classes of 1962 or earlier) and The 1842 Heritage Society will receive special recognition. Classes of 1953 and 1958 will have their class photos taken at this event.

Center for Advanced Communications Research Activities in Urban Sensing 
The Center for Advanced Communications is one of the lead institutions in US in the area of urban sensing and through the wall radar imaging. This area finds applications in rescue missions, law enforcements, and defense.  Funded by the Army Research Lab, Army Research Office, Office of Naval Research, Air Force Research Lab, Australia Research Council, Defense R&D Canada, and DARPA, exceeding $12M, the Center has been able to build extensive expertise in this area which is supported by state of the radar measurement facilities established in the College of Engineering.  CAC has been able to address key challenges in imaging of building interior and solve pressing problems in indoor target detection, tracking, and classification. These contributions have been captured in over 150 publications and gained more than 6000 citations. The Talk will discuss and summarize CAC research activities in urban sensing and will show how we have successfully assembled the required resources to enable world-class research to be conducted over the last ten years.
