Academic Programs

Villanova offers more than 45 exemplary programs in four colleges.

Faculty

Our faculty have the highest academic credentials—of our 545 full-time faculty, 90 percent hold the highest degrees in their fields. With Villanova classes average 22 students, and our student/faculty ratio at only 11:1, you will get to know the faculty well.

College of Liberal Arts & Sciences

The largest and oldest of Villanova's Colleges, the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences encompasses disciplines in the humanities, social sciences, and natural sciences. Augustine and Culture Villanova SeminarsFor incoming freshmen, this program offers a year long study of the great thinkers, from ancient to modern times.

Villanova School of Business

The Villanova School of Business prepares students to be adaptive problem solvers, equipped with the knowledge, skills, experience, ethical values, and social responsibility to make the often difficult choices upon which the well-being of others depends.

College of Engineering

Our engineering students learn theories with real-life applications. They solve problems for industry and conduct team research projects with global possibilities. As graduates, they leave Villanova prepared to make valuable engineering contributions and to provide ethical leadership in the field.

College of Nursing

Villanova's College of Nursing is well known for its excellence, and that excellence is enhanced by Villanova University's emphasis on concern for spiritual health as well as that of mind and body.

Overseas Study

Students can travel to Europe, Asia, Africa, Australia, Latin America, and South America for year long, semester or summer learning experiences.

Honors Program

A comprehensive four-year honors program combining challenging seminars, research opportunities, and cultural and social events.

Learning Communities

Freshmen have the opportunity to live and learn together in a specially designated residence hall through the Augustine and Culture Villanova Seminar and co-curricular programs.

Augustine and Culture Villanova Seminars

Villanova's Augustine and Culture Seminar is an intense exposure to those thinkers in a two-course sequence every Villanova freshman takes.
