Villanova University has named Anthony S. Fauci, MD, preeminent immunologist, pioneering HIV/AIDS researcher and Director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID) at the National Institutes of Health (NIH), as the recipient of its 2016 Mendel Medal.
